Click on the GET SONGS button below for your Beamz model. This will then open a Dropbox page in another browser window. Click on the DOWNLOAD button (the downward facing arrow) and select "Direct download". After the .zip file download is complete, extract the folder, then run the .exe file within the folder to install the songs.
Please reach us at support@thebeamz.com if you cannot find an answer to your question
First, if you have a model C1R42 make sure that the switch on the rear of the controller is in the HID position. Second for users of the C1R42 or C4 models, make sure that Beamz Player software is open and that a song is loaded and ready for play.
If the laser beams do not come on then reinstall the driver. On your computer go to the C:/Program Files (x86)/Beamz Player/Driver64 folder. Then highlight the dpinst file in that folder and double click to run the driver installation.
On the rear panel of the Beamz controller make sure the switch adjacent to the USB port is in the HID position. Now try.
Still not working? Touch a laser beam and look at the logo. It should flicker as you touch a laser beam. If it doesn’t then there could an external light source “flooding” the laser sensor(s) in the outer arms of the controller. Conditions that may “flood” a laser sensor include:
• Intense spotlights/stage lights (move the controller and try different angle)
• Bright sunlight (when playing outside it may be necessary to play in shade)
• Sunset/twilight (move the controller and try a different angle)
• Grey/silver cloud cover (this is the most challenging light condition; you may need to play inside until the cloud cover breaks or play under cover from light reflections off the clouds)
Still not working? Now check the alignment of the four laser beams. Looking from the center base outward to the arms visually inspect if the laser is lined up close to the center of the sensor (it doesn’t have to be dead center to function properly). If one of the laser beams is far out of alignment, that laser and others may not respond to touch consistently.

C1R42 model users: in the Beamz Player software click on the SETTINGS button, then select Options; the Beamz Options dialogue box will open.
C4 model users: in the Beamz Player software click on the TOOLS button, then select Options; the Beamz Options dialogue box will open.
In the bottom section of this Options box is the setting to point the application to the location for Beamz to load the music library. The default location of the music library is a beamz folder within the location C:/Users/Public/Public Documents. If the “beamz” folder is not in the public documents, use the Windows search function for a folder named Beamz Suite; this is one of the interactive songs. Then take note of the location of this folder and then go back to the Beamz application to the Options box and specify in the Beamz Music Library section the location of this folder.
The Beamz controller draws its’ power from the laptop via a USB port. When you are running a laptop on battery power the laptop manages power consumption through power management settings to maximize battery life. Some laptop models have default power management settings that disable (i.e. turn off) USB ports after a specified time of inactivity. Simply unplugging and reinserting the USB cable to the laptop will restore power to the Beamz. When using the Beamz with a laptop, it is best to use the Beamz application in the “High Performance Mode” power setting.
Beamz interactive songs are installed in a “public” documents folder so that they are accessible for multiple users logging into a shared computer. Non-admin users MUST have read/write access to the Beamz folder in order for the interactive songs to load into the Beamz Player and/or Beamz Studio applications.
Default Beamz Music Folder Location:
Windows 7/8/10 – C:/Users/Public/Public Documents/Beamz
